Maple Syrup Producer of the Year
Snyder Acres won the 2023 maple syrup contest and is awarded the title “Producer of the Year”. Find their syrup on our freshly made pancakes at the 60th Anniversary Festival on Saturday, April 6th 2024. You can also purchase their maple syrup at the Festival Headquarters booth on Arthur Street in the downtown mall.
Snyder Acres is a 5th generation family-run farm who prides themselves on their honest farm custom work and their delicious maple syrup.
Maple syrup has been in the Snyder family for generations. Graham Snyder said that he tapped trees with his father before he expanded and got his own evaporator. He now works alongside his wife Sherry and their son Cody, who grew up producing maple syrup with his dad.
Maple Tap Farm won the 2024 maple syrup contest and was awarded the title “Producer of the Year”. You will find their syrup on our freshly made pancakes at the 2025 festival!
Maple Tap Farm started in 1969 with Wally Sallans, who at the age of 13 started making maple syrup with his grandfather. He started with a few pails and continued adding to the operation gradually over the years, growing it to almost 4000 taps, at the time of his passing last year.
The Maple Syrup tradition is continued on by Wally’s son, Andrew and daughter in law, Jennifer.
