About the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival
Visit Elmira for a day full of good food and fun!
On April 10, 1965, Elmira celebrated the very first Maple Syrup Festival.
We have been supporting the local community every year since, and would love if you would join us!
Getting Started
Each and every year of the festival is a year you will want to attend. The festival is fun for visitors of all ages. So, what can you expect to see and do here?
To start off the day, you can enjoy one of the wagon rides to the mall area from our various parking lots. Then make sure to eat your fill of pancakes and sausages with the famous maple syrup on top. You can try other types of food too, including many other ways of enjoying maple syrup. You’ll be amazed at all the options there are.
Family Fun Area
For the younger crowd (and young at heart), make sure to say “Hi!” to Flapjack, the festival mascot, and try your hand at the Pancake Flipping Contest. An event that is sure to test your pancake-flipping skills and provide some laughs!
In terms of events, there’s standard festival fare, a kids’ play area, live music, lots to eat, taffy demonstrations and so much more. There’s also a range of activities that highlight Elmira and the Township of Woolwich’s more rural settings.
Explore More
You can even try out your sawing skills. Find a partner and compete in sawing a log. You even get to keep your branded piece. You can also check out the sugar bush tours to see where the maple syrup is harvested and prepared.
The Elmira Maple Syrup Festival features three primary vendor areas: the Outdoor Vendor Mall, which has well over 100 vendors and is one of the most popular attractions; the Toy Show and Sale, which features around 40 vendors focused on toys and related collections; and the Craft and Collectibles Show, which features both modern crafts and historical collections.
There truly is something for everyone and we can’t wait to have you join us at the festival!
